Been a while since last post....well...(insert lame excuse).
Now that i've got that out of the way....
Last Aug 12 was my wife's birthday. She wanted an out of town getaway to celebrate it so we opted to go somewhere close and ended up in Tagaytay. We stayed at this fairly new resort called Pina Colina which was recommended by officemate, Djong Tan-Pernas.
There were no guests checked in that time so we practically had the place to ourselves. Too bad it was raining that day so jumping in the pool was out of the question.
The place at the time does not have any resto (altho they do serve breakfast) so we had to go out to have dinner, after which we headed straight back and just chilled in the room together with our daughter and my dad-in-law.

Asus Eee Pad Update
Been a while since the last update. Work's been hectic and, just recently, a new interesting project came up that took most of my free time *coughworldofwarcraftcoughffxitraitorcough*
Anyway, I was just recently been told by some friends from Asus about their upcoming Eee Pad.
As mentioned previously, it's supposedly due last quarter of this year. Other revelations are that it would support Android 2.2 (yay!). Will have Wifi and 3G support (yay!) A 1.3mp camera and the usual USB 2.0 port and card reader. Display is an 8.9" LED backlight with a WSVGA screen.
Far left is the power button, volume control,
screen lock for the accelerometer and what seems like a card slot.
For a more in depth update, you can check out Engadget's article on this, and then some.
Thinking about it now, come late this year/next year, we'll be having a plethora of tablets to choose from. Makes me wonder......if Moses was alive, which one would he be endorsing?

Testing, testing
お任せ (It's Up To You!)
Flashback: sometime in late 90s (1998-99 i think)
Location: Cecillevile St., Whiteplains QC
After a hours and hours of Tekken matches, we found ourselves exhausted from laughing. Exhausted and hungry. After all, it was almost dinner time then. Of course, the next question that popped up was…
“so where we eating?”
Lucky enough, there was a new Japanese restaurant that just opened outside the village. Almost in front of Christ the King Church along Green Meadows Ave.
The place was called Omakase. Just a small rectangular space, enough for 15 people to fit in as far as memory serves.
We ordered the usual fare of Sushi and Sashimi and Rice Toppings. To our surprise, the food was a lot better than the usual mid-level Japanese restos that time. What I couldn’t forget though was the Salmon Sashimi. It was the freshest, sweetest Salmon I've tasted that was not ordered from a hotel/high end Japanese restaurant. Plus the price was affordable. We found ourselves coming back a few more times before it closed down due to some ordinance banning stores within the vicinity of the Church in that area.

Crosslink Your Fingers....
Just a few weeks ago i came across this nifty gadget from Asus called a Cross Link cable that enables you to link 2 PCs -dekstop/notebook/netbook- for either synchronization, file transfer purposes, internet/optical drive sharing or just for purposes of making some people go 'ohhh and ahhh'.
Ok now so what if it can do all those things? I can just do it via LAN, Ad Hoc, WiFi, Flash Drives or just switch to Cloud Computing all my stuff, right? RIGHT?!

From Adobo To Burrito
I remember seeing in a friend's Facebook post a couple of weeks back about this place where they serve over 15 different types of Adobo. Being an Adobo addict myself, i quickly asked where this place is. Sadly, it's quite far from where i live or work so it'll take some planning to go. Fast forwarding to last Monday, me and 2 of my officemates decided to plan that Adobo trip and since Tues was coding day for me, Wednesday was the decided day.
Adobo day came but apparently, fate decided to feed us something else. While on our way, we found out that the place was closing down. True enough, the place had already closed -for good i think-. So what's plan B? Backtracked on the other restos we passed by but nothing seemed appealing. Cafe Juanita came up and was almost decided when someone mentioned Ristras. Faces lit up and next thing i know, i was driving towards Wilson st in Greenhills.

Here Comes A New Challenger!
As shown on recent Tech and Gadget shows held this year, the trend is leaning towards Tablet PCs with Apple's iPad taking the lead.
Guess who decided to jump in on the bandwagon and join in the fun.....
specs are still a bit unclear but will update as soon as i find something out. (needs google-fu skillz)
According to Asus Phil. tho, this Tablet will most likely come out on the 4th quarter of this year.
<excitement> <Can i have it?> <Yes please!>
